Abstract

1,126,780. Erecting buildings. GROUPE POUR L'ETUDE D'UNE ARCHITECTURE INDUSTRIALISEE G.E.A.I. 3 Aug., 1966, No. 34807/66. Heading E1S. A building is erected by means of a central tower 2 of braced posts carrying jibs 4 over which pass ropes 7 operated by a hoist for lifting a stack of floors 11a, 11b &c. in successive steps. At the end of each step the bottom floor is secured in its final position by inner posts 12. Outer posts 13 are added when all the floors have been secured in position. The jibs 4 are secured to a frame 6 which is lifted to the top of the tower before erection of the building and is removed for subsequent use.
