Abstract

1,125,556. Lamp-holders for mounting on printed circuit boards. PRESSAC Ltd. 16 Feb., 1967 [9 May, 1966], No. 20423/66. Heading H2E. A lampholder, or other electrical component, is mounted in a printed circuit panel in bayonet manner so that the panel is gripped between a radial flange 2 and a pair of contact portions 5a which project into opposed hollow camshaped lugs 4, located rearwardly of the flange 2, the contact portions 5a engaging printed circuitry on the rear face of the panel. Additional cam-shaped projections (2b, Fig. 4, not shown) may be provided on the rear face of the flange 2. Preferably, the lampholder contacts 5 each comprise a pair of opposed fingers 6a which grip the base of a capless lamp 6b and which project at right-angles from a side plate (6, Figs. 6 and 7, not shown), each side plate (6) terminating in a contact portion 5a and having a resilient locking lance (7). Alternatively, the holder receives a bayonet-type or screw-based lamp.
