Abstract

1,125,542. Speed control systems. STARKSTROM-ANLAGENBAU ERFURT, VEB. April 27, 1966, No. 18401/66. Heading G1N. A brake on a lift system is operated by the output from an AND gate 17 (Fig. 1) whose normal input comprises three signals:- (a) a predetermined maximum speed signal from 9, continuously adjusted in accordance with depth by cam mechanism 5 driven by the lift pulley 4, (b) an actual speed signal derived from slotted disc 1 driven by the lift motor 3, a pulse train from disc 1 being converted to analogue form at 12 and compared at 13 with the maximum signal from 9. If the actual speed exceeds the predetermined maximum value, store 15 clears one input signal to AND gate 17, (c) a check on the actual speed signal comprising a second slotted disc 6 coupled to mechanism 5. The two pulse trains are composed on counters 20, 21, and divergence above a tolerated Π3 causes store 16 to clear one input signal to AND gate 17.
