[Also in Division D1] Garments are basted with a thread made from a plastics material such as ethyl cellulose, polystyrene or polycarbonate which is soluble in a dry-cleaning solvent such as carbon tetrachloride, perchlorethylene, trichlorethylene or methyl chloride, and the completed garments are dry cleaned to remove the basting thread.
