Articles such as cushions or seats are made by introducing polyurethane foam-forming composition into a mould, placing a foam-backed stretchable material loosely thereover, foam downwards, securing a perforated lid on to the mould, causing or allowing expansion of the composition so as to fill the mould, thereby pushing the stretchable material against the inside of the lid to form a moulded article having an integral cover. The stretchable material is preferably a two-way stretch fabric and the foam-backing thereof is preferably polyurethane. The mould is preferably of aluminium.
