112,389. Bell, R., and Maguire, R. July 18, 1917. Operating belt-forks.-In operating- gear for belt-forks of the kind in which the forks are moved alternately in opposite directions by moving the operating- part always in one direction, a plate 12 with projections 13, 14 is suspended from a hand-lever or the like and, when lowered, engages the lower of two hooks 9, 10 on a pivoted lever 8 engaging the striking-rod 2. When the hand-lever is released, it is returned by spring action and the plate 12 rises and rotates the lever 8 in the opposite direction to that in which it was rotated when last operated.
