Abstract
1,123,747. Cooking ovens. WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORP. 20 Sept., 1966 [22 Oct., 1965], No. 41967/66. Heading H5H. [Also in Division F4] An electric cooking oven has simultaneous broiling elements 28, 30 and a baking element 32, each element comprising planar heating loops and a terminal portion such as 34 connectable with supply sockets 22, 24, 26. Element 28, Fig. 1, or the lower broiling element (52, Fig. 3), has its heating portion vertically offset from its terminal portion so that reversal of said element (Figs. 2, 4) changes the vertical spacing between the two broiling elements. The rack 44 supporting the food 40 to be broiled may also be vertically adjustable (see Figs. 3, 4). Both broiling elements may have offset heating portions. Additional supports may be provided for the heating elements.
