Abstract

[Also in Division G2] A mouth mirror comprises a mirror glass 3 secured to a flat plate 1 by adhesive 4, the plate forming or being secured tO a mounting plate provided with a shank 2 for receiving a handle (Figures 4 and 5). Metal powder may be distributed in the adhesive or metal projections from the mounting plate may contact the mirror to improve the conduction of heat between the mounting plate and the mirror. The reflective coating which is applied to the reverse side of 'the mirror may be omitted from the rim so that the reflective coating is enclosed. The mounting plate and the shank 2 may be stamped from metal sheet, the shank then being provided with a screwthread (Fig. 3) or fork arms (15, Figure 4) for detachable connection with complimentary parts of the handle.
