Abstract

[Also in Division F4] In a radiator system for space heating (see Division F4) an obstruction 10 is formed between the outlet 3 of the radiator 1 and a connecting piece 8 to prevent hot water from flowing into the radiator outlet 3 from a by-pass conduit 7. As shown, the obstruction 10 is formed in a channel 11 connecting the outlet 3 with the passage 12 of the connecting piece 8 and is such that the highest point of the obstruction preferably lies above the uppermost portion of the bore of the outlet 3. Alternatively the obstruction 10 may take the form of a piece of piping inserted between the outlet 3 and the connecting piece 8 bent in such a way that an obstruction is formed.
