Abstract

Two potentiometers 13, 17, mechanically associated with a depth gauge, are connected to a cathode follower transistor 10 so that over an initial small portion of the depth range the slider of potentiometer 13 in the emitter circuit is displaced, to produce an indication on voltmeter 14 of the depth, and over the remainder of the depth range the slider of potentiometer 17 in the base circuit is displaced, continuing to produce on voltmeter 14 an indication of the depth.
