Abstract

1,118,367. Ejectors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Aug.23, 1966 [Oct. 22, 1965], No.37732/66. Heading F1E. A jet pump comprises an elongated hollow pump body 12 having an inlet and an outlet characterized by concentrically disposed nozzles 16, 20, 24 mounted adjacent the inlet for directing concentric jets into the inlet, the nozzles being supplied with fluid at different pressures from independent sources so as to minimize the difference in velocity profile across the initial boundary between the driving and driven streams of fluid in the vicinity of the nozzles.
