A socket member 20 of rubber has internal annular ribs which are deformed to form a fluidtight seal with a spout 12 by the radial contraction of a number of fingers 46 integral with a body 16 and forming a housing in which the member 20 is received, the fingers being contracted by the frusto-conical seat of a nut 18 screwed on to the body. The nut and body are moulded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, or an acetal resin or nylon.
