Abstract
<PICT:1117642/C6-C7/1> Apparatus for the continuous electrolytic production of metal foil comprises a rotatable drum shaped cathode 2 mounted concentrically within and spaced by a small gap e.g. less than 5 mm, from a semi-cylindrical anode which is mounted within an insulating trough 3, formed with end walls; means for delivering electrolyte under pressure to the inter-electrode gap, e.g. comprising a pipe 4 positioned beneath the anode 1 and connecting with said gap via small holes, and overflow openings 3a formed in the insulating trough 3, such that a continuously changing stream of electrolyte may be supplied to said gap so as to extend the full width of the drum-shaped cathode.
