Abstract
1,117,352. Ventilating. TILTMAN LANGLEY Ltd. 28 April, 1966 [28 April, 1965], No. 17936/65. Heading F4V. [Also in Division F2] Air temperature, in an aircraft cabin for example, is controlled by a valve having a single inlet and two controllable outlets, one outlet having a heat exchanger connected thereto so that by mixing the two streams the desired temperature is obtained. The control can be set by an operator and is maintained at the correct setting by a thermostat. The valve has an inlet chest 2 and two delivery ducts 3 (one behind the other in Fig. 1) each corresponding to a port (4, 5, Fig. 2) in a fixed plate 7. A movable plate 11 opens and closes the ports and is operated through a worm 10 and wormwheel 9 by a reversible motor. The position of the worm-wheel shaft is monitored by a telemetric position indicator T.
