[Also in Division B8] A cigarette tray filling apparatus includes a tray carrier positioned adjacent the filling means and means to move an empty tray from the carrier and return to it a full tray, the carrier being moved forward automatically a tray pitch when an empty tray is withdrawn. The carrier, a wheeled trolley, is moved forward one tray pitch by pins 9 on discs 8 Fig. 4, engaging in slots 11 along the trolley side. Fixed and spring loaded rollers 19, 20, 18, Fig. 3, engage a guide rail on the trolley to releasably attach it to the filling machine.
