Abstract

1,117,138. Filing papers. W. LENNARTZ. 9 Nov., 1966 [11 Nov., 1965], No. 50206/66. Heading B6E. A document file comprises a base sheet 1 and cover sheet 2 of plastics material joined together along one transverse and one longitudinal edge, and an insert sheet 6 of plastics material which forms two compartments for papers, one edge of the insert 6 adjacent a closed edge of the sheets 1, 2 being folded at 7 and joined at 9 to the cover sheet 2 at a distance from the fold 7. In a modification (Fig. 2), the insert 6 is joined to the base sheet 1. The sheets 1,À2 can be a single sheet folded at 3, and one sheet has a transverse extension to form a flap (4) which is folded over the other sheet and secured thereto by welding or adhesive. The folded edge of the insert 6 is secured at 9 to the sheet 2 by welding or adhesive, and it may also be secured to the sheet 2 at 15 to provide a pocket 16 for the reception of a label (17), in which case the sheet 2 is transparent. More than one insert sheet can be included in the file. The sheets may have index recesses.
