Abstract

1,117,116. Windscreen washers. TUDOR ACCESSORIES Ltd. and R. G. GAMMON. 5 Aug., 1965 [27 Nov., 1964], No. 48374/64. Heading A4F. In a windscreen cleaning system washing liquid is drawn from a reservoir 11 by a pump 12 and passed through a valve unit 16 having a housing separate from the pump and containing a non return valve 26, and having two outlet arms 18, 19 connected by flexible hoses 31, 32 to liquid discharge jets 13, 14. In a modified construction the reservoir 11 only is connected to the inlet spigot 24 of the valve unit 16 and the pump is connected to further spigot on the unit 16, a second non return valve being provided in the unit 16 to prevent the pumping of liquid back to the reservoir.
