Abstract

1,114,413. Cores for dynamo-electric machine stators. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 26 Nov., 1964 [28 Nov., 1963], No. 46985/63. Heading H2A. A dynamo-electric machine stator comprises a plurality of segmental core laminations against the axial ends of which core 1 abut end plates to which are rigidly secured respective ends of a plurality of members extending parallel to the stator axis, and two spaced welds 7 secure each lamination to each adjacent lamination against angular movement relative thereto. As shown, the end plates comprise anglesection rings 4 to which are welded gussets 5, and the members comprise channel-section bars 6 also welded to the end rings. In other embodiments the end plates comprise trapezoidal-section rings and the members comprise rectangular- and angular-section bars, and bolts.
