Abstract

Granulated dolomite, magnesite and/or lime impregnated with a tar-containing binder is agitated to prevent caking while being temper-hardened, e.g. 200-600 DEG C., cooled, more binder added and finally compacted into moulded articles. The additional binder can be tar, graphite or other carbonaceous material.
