1111382 Surgical syringes COOPER McDOUGALL & ROBERTSON Ltd 5 Jan 1965 [25 Oct 1963] 42152/63 Headings F1A A1A3 A1C1 A3F1A A4L A4Q and A4S2 A syringe for administering medicaments in the form a paste or viscous solution to animals comprises a body 1 having a dosage cylinder defined by a stainless steel tube 6 in a recess of the body, a plunger 9 reciprocable in the cylinder, a threaded connection 3 for a collapsible medicament reservoir 20 which communicates with the cylinder through a ball-valve 4 and a connection 12 for a hypodermic needle 14 or an applicator tube, Fig. 3 (not shown) which communicates with the dosage cylinder through a second ball-valve 11. The plunger 9 is projected against a return spring 18, for discharge of medicament from the cylinder through the needle or applicator tube, by finger pressure on a lever 18 or a button (21) Fig. 2 (not shown). The plunger is made of nylon, poly- propylene or polytetrafluoroethylene or of metal alloy with a sealing ring.
