Abstract

1,110,543. Foundation blocks. SEARSON (MASONRY) Ltd. 15 April, 1966 [22 April, 1965], No. 16950/65. Heading E1B. A concrete foundation block 10, of a width capable of supporting an 11" cavity wall, has six cavities 11 extending upwards from its lower face, the outer four of which are dead end cavities, and the central one of each block of three of which extends right through the block, as does the central cavity 12. End recesses 13 facilitate handling, and the side walls are solid. The top and/or the bottom face of the block may have channels formed therein to aid the keying of the mortar.
