Abstract

1,110,233. Filing papers. PROTECTIVE PAPERS Ltd. 14 April, 1965 [15 April, 1964], No. 15652/64. Heading B6E. [Also in Divisions A4 and E2] A cord, 110 in Provisional drawing, having a plastics tag 111 has the tag moulded on to the end of the cord and takes the form of a cylinder 112 adhering to the cord and provided with lateral arms 113. Several joined tags may be moulded on several cords and separated by cutting, or several cords have their tags individually moulded. Several parallel cords 3, Fig. 2, are fed into several operable dies 1 and tags 4 injection moulded thereon at spaced intervals. The continuous cords are wound on a grooved drum 5 driven via air cylinder 6 and clutch 8, the tags arriving opposite slots 21 in the groove walls. On the opposite side of the drum an air cylinder 11 pulls a revolving knife 9 through the slots to sever the cords.
