Abstract
1,110,140. Apparatus for treating the face. KAZ MANUFACTURING CO. Inc. 27 Feb., 1967 [25 April, 1966], No. 9154/67. Heading ASR. A device for treating the face with steam comprises a vapourizer head 16 fitted into an aperture 22 in the upper wall 18 of a fluid container 14, there being a hood 10 disposed on the upper wall 18 and embracing the vapourizer head, the hood having an open upper end 34. As shown, the container 14 is filled with water containing some salt as in electrolyte and electric heating electrodes in apart 24 of the vapourizer head provide steam at an outlet 26 into the hood. A baffle 44 in the hood diffuses the steam and apertures (48) allow cooling air to mix with the steam. The device is arranged such that any steam condensed in the hood runs back into the container 14. The hood is of an exemplified synthetic plastics material.
