Abstract

The concentration of halogens in air is determined by mixing the air with an electrolyte which subsequently flows through a test cell to which a D. C. voltage is applied. The cell has a "counterelectrode" with relatively large surface area e. g. as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown). The electrode may comprise a hollow block (6) with a core (9) connected to it. The electrolyte may be pumped through an identical reference cell before being mixed with the air Fig. 3 (not shown).
