A pipe comprises an impervious extruded inner lining 10 of polyvinyl chloride in a surrounding layer 12 of helically wound glass fibre impregnated with resin, e.g. a polyester or epoxy resin, and an intermediate layer of tape 14 helically wound with the turns thereof overlapping and of plasticized polyvinyl chloride, polythene, a polyester, or glass fibre cloth; alternatively the layer 14 may be of extruded polyvinyl chloride.
