[Also in Divisions B1 and B2] The device for spraying moist salt disclosed in Specification 1,047,406 is modified by the provision of a pair of inclined nozzles 20 which delivers measured quantities of water or a dilute salt solution into the region of the adjustably inclined rotating discs 6 which convey the moist salt to the rotary distributer 11. The water &c. is supplied to the nozzles from a container 21 which is pressurized by compressed air supplied by the vehicle &c. on which the device is mounted, said water passing through an adjustable measuring device 24 the output of which is additionally controlled by the speed of the vehicle.
