Abstract

1,107,605. Spray-producers. MONSANTO CO. 28 May, 1965, No. 22739/65. Heading B2F. [Also in Division B8] A synthetic plastics powder dispenser comprises an open-ended neck 2 having at least one elongated cut-out portion 3 in its upper surface and a rotatable closure or cap 5 for the neck provided with perforations 4 which may be aligned with the portion 3. The perforations 4 may be replaced by a spout or funnel and preferably two diametrically opposed portions 3, Fig. 5 (not shown) are provided. The outer surface of the neck is formed with an annular rib 6 which is partially or completely cut away, Figs. 5 and 7 (not shown), at one or more portions 7 to form shoulders which are engaged by a stop 8 on the cap 5 so as to limit its rotation. A ring 9 on the cap 5 engages the lower surface of the rib 6 and prevents axial movement of the cap and escape of the powder between the cap and the rib. The corners of the portion 3 engage and wipe clean the lower surface of the cap.
