Abstract

1,106,829. Control of motors. INVENTIO A.G. 19 Jan., 1967 [19 Jan., 1966], No. 2860/67. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G3] A lift-motor 4 is controlled through amplifier 10 in accordance with the difference between voltages derived respectively from reference voltage generator 8 and tachometer generator 9. When the lift-car 2 approaches floor 6, a magnetic switch 14 is actuated, whereby capacitors 15, 17 are disconnected from positive terminal 83 and are connected to negative terminal 85 to be discharged through resistor 19, so reducing the reference voltage. A further magnetic switch 13 is then actuated to interrupt the discharge of the capacitors through resistor 19, the capacitor 17 being isolated from the capacitor 15. Photo-electric senser 11 cooperates with a perforated strip 12 to produce pulses for controlling transistor 22, the capacitor 15 being further discharged through transistor 20, resistor 21, and transistor 22 to the negative terminal 85. The magnitude of the currentpulses passed by the transistor 20 is determined by the voltage stored by the capacitor 17. To provide constant retardation, the holes in the perforated strip 12 are distributed in a parabolic manner. When the lift-car is level with the floor, a mechanical brake is applied, the plates 15À2, 17À2, being again connected to terminal 8À5, a diode 16 preventing charging of the capacitors.
