Abstract

1,106,570. Luffing jib-cranes. MINISTERUL INDUSTRIEI PETROLULUI SI CHIMIEI 24 July, 1965, No. 31675/65. Heading B8B. The jib 1 of a crane which is pivoted at.2 on posts 3 mounted on a sub-structure 4 are raised by legs 6 carrying pulleys or trolleys 8 on their upper ends on which the jib rests. The legs 6 are raised about their pivot points 7 by a rope 10 the ends of which are attached to sheaves 12. Between these sheaves the rope is passed over pulleys 11 on the trolleys 8, pulleys on the sheaves 12 and an equalizing sheave 13 attached to a hook 14 on a lifting block 15. Alternatively the ends of the rope 10 may be attached to sheaves 11, or the sheaves 12 may be attached to posts 3 and the rope ends attached to the undersides of the jib.
