Abstract

<FORM:1105007/C2/1> <FORM:1105007/C2/2> Novel compounds of the Formula I, in which n is 0 or 1, R is a substituted or unsubstituted C1- 6 alkyl, phenyl or heterocyclic group and R1 is hydrogen or C1- 4 alkyl, are prepared by reacting a carbony compound of the Formula II, with a substituted hydroxylamine of the formula HONH-R. When R is a substituted group, the substituents may be, for example, hydroxy, alkoxy, halogen, trifluoromethyl, carbamoyl cyano, sulphamoyl, or carboxy or its salts or esters. Pharmaceutical compositions having an anti-microbial activity comprise a compound of Formula I together with a carrier.
