A portable crop drying apparatus has, mounted on the chassis of a road vehicle, a rectangular housing 22 horizontally divided by an upper removable mesh partition 23 and a lower mesh partition into an upper treatment chamber 25 and a lower air inlet compartment 26 supplied through a funnel with heated air from an oil burner 35 through a duct 34 and an impeller fan 32. The duct 34 has adjustable air inlets 36 to regulate induced flow of fresh air thereinto by the fan which is driven by an I.C. engine, and the oil burner is controlled by thermostats in the air funnel.
