Abstract

1,103,703. Feeding tobacco. VOKES Ltd. 8 Oct., 1965 [15 Sept., 1964], No. 37612/64 Heading A2C. In a dust collection system for cigarette making machines, each associated with a tobacco discharger A, B, C having a dust collection chamber D, E, F connected thereto by a small diameter pipe 15, 16, 17, branches 2, 3, 4, are provided connected to the dischargers and opening into a common suction duct 1 leading to a common dust collector H. Tobacco is fed to the dischargers by a duct 5 having branches 6, 7, 8 due to operation of valves 12, 13, 14 with branches 2, 3, 4 and which may be electrically sequentially operated. Preferably the suction duct 1 is the common air return duct of the tobacco feed system.
