Abstract

1,102,047. Display cases. QUENOT & CIE S.A.R.L. 11 Nov., 1966 [8 Sept., 1966], No. 50791/66. Heading B8P. A display case is formed from an L-shaped blank, Fig. 1, by folding and gluing a lateral sealing flap 5 on to a double thickness rear face 1 to form an open top container of rectangular section, the bottom of which is closed by flaps 6, 7, 7<SP>1</SP> attached to the three sides 2-4 of the container. As described, the case is hung up from an opening 20 in the rear face, which is formed by folding panel 1<SP>1</SP> along the line 18 to lie against panel 1, the extension 9 on panel 1<SP>1</SP> being folded against the bottom of the container. An apertured cut-out portion (26), (Fig. 2, not shown), in the rear face 1 is folded along the line (27) to lie on top of the displayed article such as a measuring instrument (22), which is thereby protected when the display cases are stacked. The side panel 2 of the case may have an apertured extension 30 which is bent over the top of the instrument (22), the measuring tape (23) of which is extended through an opening 21 in the side panel 2. The case may be of cardboard or plastics.
