Abstract

[Also in Division B3] An animal feeding appliance comprises a hollow cylindrical sheet metal drum 10 having an opening 11 therein, a shoot 12 riveted, welded or bolted to the drum, and an adjustable shutter 13. The amount of animal feed in the bottom of the appliance is varied by the position of the shutter. In a further embodiment the appliance is constructed from an oil drum by firstly cutting three slits in the drum thus defining a tongue and displacing the tongue inwardly and welding it to the inside of the drum; and secondly removing the closed upper end of the drum and, after cutting it to a particular shape, welding it to the free end of the tongue and to the inside of the drum so as to form the shoot.
