Abstract

1,100,435. Valves. STANDARD SCREW CO. 21 May, 1965 [26 April, 1965], No. 21666/65. Heading F2V. A faucet has an inlet 29, Fig. 2, and an outlet 6, Fig. 1, and perforated means 31 in the form of a corrugated sleeve, the inlet being in direct communication with the space at one side and the outlet with the spaces at both sides of the means. The means consists of a screen or mesh having a cross-sectional shape which provides longitudinal grooves and hence a path for the liquid in the event of the mesh or screen becoming blocked. The closure member consists of a radially-ported and slidable tubular member mounted in an outer fixed sleeve provided with sealing rings and a member to exert pressure on and restrain movement of the closure member which may be fitted with the lubricant reservoir described in Specification 1,094,485.
