Abstract

1,100,353. Cocking devices. ZAVODY JANA SVERMY NARODNI PODNIK. 2 May, 1966 [3 May, 1965], No. 19127/66. Heading F3C. A cooking device for a gas operated weapon comprises a pin 9 passing through the lateral well 10 of the weapon, a handle 11 fixed to one end of the pin 9 and a cooking lever 8 fixed to the other end. The cocking lever 8 has a rounded end which co-operates with a surface 27 on a spring-loaded plunger 7 to retract the plunger on rotation of the handle 11. The handle 11 is provided at its outer end with a spring-loaded catch which engages with a recess in the wall of the weapon in the plunger retract - ing position of the handle in which position the cocking device acts as a safety catch, and in the inoperative position of the handle (Fig. 3, not shown). The firing mechanism consists of a pivoted trigger which co-operates with a trigger lever, the trigger lever having a pawl for holding the plunger 7 against its spring loading (Fig. 1, not shown).
