Abstract

1,100, 024. Reciprocating pumps and compressors. J. GUTKOWSKI. Oct. 29, 1964 [Oct. 30, 1963], No. 42777/63. Headings F1A and F1N. A pump or compressor comprises a piston 14 rotated in a cylinder 11 and having an inclined head urged into contact with a correspondingly inclined cylinder end 13 by a spring 15. As the piston rotates and reciprocates it controls inlet and outlet ports in the cylinder. In a modification Fig. 3 (not shown) the piston is non-rotatably mounted in a rotating cylinder which forms part of the rotor of an electric motor. Pistons are described having narrow cam surfaces formed on their ends.
