Orally administrable anti-arteriosclerotic medicines, e.g. in tablet, pill or capsule form comprise a compound of general formula: <FORM:1099269/A5-A6/1> wherein X is a C1-4 alkyl radical or a monovalent cation and the heparinoid described in Specification 889,010, which is a sulphomucopolysaccharide containing peptides and nucleinic acids.
