[Also in Division F1] A steam turbine stator diaphragm has aerofoil blades 12 welded or brazed in blind aerofoil section holes 13 in the divided diaphram centre 10 and in aerofoil section through-holes 14 in a divided ring 15. The holes 13, 14 are formed by electrolytic or spark erosion using an electrode of similar section to the holes.
