Abstract

1,095,356. Tractor power lift mechanisms. X. FENDT and H. FENDT. May 20, 1965, No. 21347/65. Heading A1P. A control system for automatically controlling the draft and position of an agricultural inmplement attached to the power lift of a tractor comprises a cam 12<SP>1</SP> on the lift shaft 12, a rod 17 connected via a spring mounted plate (15) (Fig. 1, not shown) to the upper link of a three point linkage, a floating member 18 influenced by both the cam and rod, and intermediate linkages 20-22 connected to the member at their one ends and having at their other ends rollers adapted to engage correspondnig surfaces on depending arms of a lever 32 operatively connected to a control valve 4. In operation one of the intermediate linkages is brought into its operative position by pulling one of three members 23-25, and transmits to the control valve a ratio of draft forces and position forces. If the member 18 is moved to the right the lever 32 will be rotated about its shaft 30 against spring 31 to cause the three point linkage to be lowered. In a second embodiment the ends of the linkages remote from the member 18 are connected to corresponding arms which are freely mounted on a shaft (33) (Fig. 4, not shown) such that when a button is depressed the point of contact of the corresponding arm and the button acts as a pivot point for that arm. In a third embodiment the linkages each have a lost motion connection with the control lever.
