Abstract

A battle game apparatus comprises symbols or tokens designating weapons or war personnel constituting two armed forces for moving over the whole of a board constituting a battle area, the whole board being marked out in squares, two lines marked across the board designating two front lines of battle behind which the armies are grouped, respectively, at the start of the game and which has no further significance once the game commences, a plurality of the squares behind each line being distinguishably marked from the other squares to designate areas, e.g. headquarters and supplies, belonging to each armed force, respectively, at the start of a game, and a plurality of the squares between the two front lines being distinguishably marked from the other squares to designate obstacles and geographical features, e.g. rivers, bridges, and houses, of the battle area. The armed forces may be armies, navies or air forces.
