Abstract
109,498. Viven, J., and Bessiere, G. Sept. 26, 1916. Bomb-throwing, guns adapted for.-Consists in adapting small-arms barrels to discharge bombs, by arranging one or more super-calibre barrels 4 on one or both sides of the axis of the ordinary barrel 1. The barrels 4 which receive short range projectiles 5 communicate by conduits 4<a> with a tube placed over the muzzle end of the ordinary barrel 1 from which the usual projectile is fired. An additional super-calibre barrel may be arranged in line with the ordinary barrel, in which case blank ammunition is employed.
