Abstract

1,093,821. Magnetic amplifiers. PARMEKO Ltd. June 9, 1964 [March 19,1963], No. 10715/63. Heading H3B. An auto-self-excited parallel transductor which is biased so as to provide minimum output in response to zero control current has its bias winding 5 energized from the A.C. power supply through a bridge rectifier 11, both cores A, B of the transductor being linked by a shortcircuited winding 8 in which induced current maintains the bias during the quiescent periods of the rectified current. The short-circuited winding is fully operative in maintaining the bias if the bridge rectifier develops a fault which causes it to function as a half-wave rectifier. The load 2 is a solenoid controlling a fluid supply valve.
