In use, as a fuel filter in a vehicle or heating system, the unit is clamped between head 20 and bowl 19, and flow is downward from inlet 21, water coalescing and collecting in the bowl which may have a removable drain plug. The upper end of casing 10 is rolled over perforate end plate 16.
