Abstract

109,072. Crawford, A., and Preston, W., (trading as Sanders. & Co., W.). Aug. 25, 1916. Fusible cut-outs. - The fuse-holder and its shield or base are so shaped that, when put together, there is formed a number of expansion chambers in communication with a passage for the fuse wire, but, not enclosing any part of the contacts. The fuse-holder consists of a plate o formed with a handle and with a projecting block p which is traversed by a diagonal passage x for the fuse wire, the ends whereof are bent round the ends of the block to connect to the contacts u. The base q is formed with a recess to accommodate the projection p of the holder; extensions r of the recess form expansion chambers contiguous to the opposite ends of the fuse passage in the block.
