Abstract
1,088,180. Housings for electrical equipment. R. HOPT. Dec. 20, 1965 [Dec. 24, 1964], No. 53890/65. Heading H1R. In a H.F. tuning device comprising a troughlike casing 1, sub-divided into compartments by partitions 2, a cover 3 for the casing 1 consists of a thin resilient metal plate, e.g. of brass or bronze, having tongues 4 pressed out from the plate in resilient contact with upper edges of the side-walls of the casing and with partitions 2. Tongues 4 are trapesoidal, the longer end of each tongue being slightly upturned where it contacts the casing, and are directed outwards from a central axis 8, transverse to partitions 2. The cover 3 comprises double-flanged edge portions 11, 12 along three sides thereof, to enable the cover to be slid over flanged edge portions of the casing walls and to be fixed in position by bolts 14 which pass through holes 15 in the cover adjacent the fourth side thereof and are screwed into holes 16 in casing wall flange 7. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the flange 12 on the third side of the cover is omitted, the cover being held in position on the easing by means of a peripheral clip. In another modification, the tongued plate forms a resilient insert in a separate cover lid.
