A window box 10 has a low front wall 15 and a dividing wall 16 to provide a shallow front portion 17 and a deep rear portion 18. Drainage holes 19 are formed in the front wall and for the base 13 of the box. The box is suspended below the window sill 11 by steel support brackets 20 shaped as shown.
