Abstract

1,086,682. Shovelling machines. F. E. WEATHERILL Ltd. April 22, 1965 [April 23, 1964], No. 16933/64. Heading E1F. A loader comprises a bucket 4 attached to a tractor 1 by lifting arms 2 manipulated by hydraulic jacks 19, each arm having a lever and link system for effecting pivotal movement of the bucket and holding it in any desired attitude. Each system comprises levers 8, 17 pivotally attached to the arm 2 at points 10, 18 and projecting upwardly therefrom, on which levers is pivotally connected at 11 and 16 respectively a first link 12 which extends towards the bucket beyond the lever 17. The extension of the link 12 is pivoted to one end of a second link 14 at a point 13 which is pivoted at its other end to the bucket at 15. The lower end of the lever 8 is pivoted -at 9 to a piston 21 of a jack 20 mounted on the tractor so as to effect lengthwise movement of the link 12 and thereby to rotate the bucket.
