Abstract

1,085,750. Electrostatic and cyclonic separators. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. June 1, 1966 [June 1, 1965], No. 24367/66. Headings B2J and B2P. In a dust separator comprising one or more electrostatic precipitators 2 and a number of cyclones 3 mounted within one and the same casing 1, the cyclones 3 are arranged downstream of the precipitators 2 when viewed in the direction of gas flow, the cyclones having tangential inlets 8 and being disposed horizontally in rows evenly distributed over the crosssection of the casing. The dust from the precipitators collects in pockets 6 and that from the cyclones fall into a common outlet channel 9 before passing into a further pocket 6. The dust may be removed from the pockets 6 by means of a screw arrangement 7.
