Abstract

1,085,096. Snap-action switches. TENBY ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES Ltd. July 2, 1965 [June 8, 1964], No. 23558/64. Heading H2B. Fixed contact members 16 and a pivot piece 14, on which a contact beam 19 is pivoted, are integral with respective laterally-positioned terminals (18 and 15, Figs. 1 and 3, not shown) and retained in the base 10 by the integral cover and face-plate 21 which also carries a rocker 23. An abutment 24 of rocker 23 engages leaf-springs 20 carried on beam 19 to provide over-centre snap action of the beam 19. A member 26 is mounted on beam 19 and has projections 26a which are engaged by the abutment 24 in its end positions to reduce contact bounce.
